Valencia is the third biggest city and just like Alicante it isn’t an obvious tourist destination or sea side resort. Valencia does have a lot going for it culturally with sight seeing spots such as the Plaza de la Reina and the ever educational Oceanografic Valencia.

Valencia has an international airport north of the city by the name of the Manises Airport. Valencia Airport has daily services with Easyjet to Gatwick and services with Ryan Air to Bristol, the East Midlands and London Stansted.

Valencia also has some fine sandy beaches and via the Valencia webcam of Playa Las Arenas one can see what Valencia beaches have to offer. Valencia beaches belong to thee best of Spain and even during the height of the summer aren’t over crowded.

The Mareny Blau is a fine sandy beach perfect for swimming sunbathing and water sports. The Mareny Blau is the beach to come to for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.

The Playa del Ciment is one of the most popular sandy beaches in Valencia perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is also very popular as there is lots of free parking.

The Playa de la Malverrosa- Las Arenas is located three kilometres from the Valencia city centre. The Playa de la Malverossa- Las Arenas is easily accessible from the city centre by bus and one can take the 20,21 and 22 bus to the beach. The Las Arenas beach is cleaned everyday and it has all the facilities one can expect from a first class beach resort including showers, lifeguards, water sports equipment for hire and restaurants and cafes close by.

The Playa Pinedo is located not far from thee motorway the CV-500. The Playa Pineda has a good range of facilities and is good for swimming and sun bathing.

The Playa El Saler is a popular with beach with sand and pebbles. The beach is surrounded by hotels and apartments, as well as bars and restaurants. There are camping grounds close by. Life guards are present at the beach in the summer. The Playa El Saler is easily accessible from the El Saler motorway .

The Playa de la Devesa is known for its fine golden sands. There is strong local police presence in the summer months as well as lifeguards. A good range of accommodation can be found close by including a Parador and a camp site. Restaurants and kiosks serving food are at the beach as well. To reach the Playa de la Devesa which is sixteen kilometres outside of Valenica one can take the El Saler motorway and exit at the CV- 500 all the way to the beach.

The Playa de El Recati is located eighteen kilometres from the Valencia city centre. During the summer lifeguards and local police are on patrol. Nearby are camping grounds, a youth hostel and restaurants. This beach is also accessible from the El Saler Motorway with the CV-500 just eighteen kilometres from the Valencia city centre.

The El Raco Beach is Valencia’s main beach and is surrounded by holiday apartments and a palm tree lined promenade. This is a golden sandy beach with calm waters and a good selection of amenities. This is the most popular of all of Valencia’s beaches and is very busy in the summer. One can hire a windsurfer and take lessons from the nearby hotel as well.

Valencia’s nudist beach is the Mareny Sant Lorenç while the Playa de Pinedo also has a nudist section.

Valencia is more than just a city good for city breaks and has a good range of beaches allowing one to enjoy a good sea side holiday with culture and shopping.
