Theme Parks Benidorm

Benidorm is home to four theme parks much in the same style as Orlando. Benidorm is the premier tourist destination on the Costa Blanca. Only an hour away by car from Alicante Airport, Benidorm has over two thousand bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, ice-cream parlours, night clubs and discotheques.

With blue flag golden sandy beaches at Playa Levante and Playa Poniente, there are hundreds of apartment blocks, aparthotels and hotels in Benidorm, making it a hub of activity. Benidorm also has a casino, cable ski with all kinds of board activities at the beach and Benidorm Palace where much in the style of Las Vegas people can enjoy a three course gourmet meal and a show. Golf is available five kilometres away from the resort centre at the five star Villaitana Wellness Golf & Business Sun Resort.

The theme parks of Mundomar and Aqualandia are easily accessable by bus or car as they are not far from the resort centre. At Aqualandia you can enjoy a day at a water park riding some of the highest flumes in Europe, whereas Mundomar is much like Sea World in Florida, where you can see marine life and watch a whole host of shows.

Terra Mitica and Terra Natura are located on the hillsides of Benidorm. There is a regular bus service connecting Benidorm and the two parks, but having your own car means you can stay until the parks close and leave when you are ready to leave.

Terra Mitica is an ancient world themed park with shows live entertainment and thrilling roller coaster rides, while Terra Natura has some unique animals in their natural habitats on display with live entertainment and shows thrown in. On site there is a mini water park called Aqua Natura where you can cool off, which in the hot summer months is a good idea and go swimming with sharks.

Ticket prices vary and it is always helpful to ask in the reception of your hotel if there are any special offers or go the big supermarkets of Carrefour and Eroski as they often also give away heavily discounted cheap theme park tickets. Of course once you are done riding the flumes you can always go next door to Mundomar for six Euros for the evening.

Day tickets and specials range from ten to thirty six Euros for the day, while there are multi day tickets and season tickets available as well. Season tickets are an interesting option as two visits to the park and you have your money back!
