Punta Prima Costa Blanca

Punta Prima, on the Spanish mainland not to be confused with the Punta Prima in Menorca, is a Mediterranean sea side resort on the Southern Costa Blanca on the Orihuelan stretch of the Costa Blanca. Punta Prima is within easy reach of both Alicante and Murcia airports.

Punta Prima has a blue flag beach and a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants. The newly built Punta Prima Commercial Centre gives the holidaymaker even a better choice of boutiques and restaurants.

Punta Prima has a many holiday villas and apartments for weekly rental as well as long lets on the urbanisations of Los Altos, La Cinuelicas, Los Balcones and Zeniamar. Facilities at the resort include go karting, a fun fair and paint balling. Neighbouring Playa Flamenca to the south can be reached on foot. For the weekly market it is best to head into Playa Flamenca on Saturdays or Cabo Roig on Thursdays.

Punta prima is in the midst of all the golfing action with Las Ramblas, Campoamor , Villamartin, La Finca, La Marquesa and Lo Romero close by.

The hotel to stay in Punta Prima is the two star Torrejoven Hotel which is right on the front of the Punta Prima beach and rates start at €18 a day including breakfast.

Punta Prima weather follows a Mediterranean climate pattern where summers are hot with a guarantee of no rainfall. Punta Prima has over three hundred days of sunshine a year and rainfall occurs primarily in the mild winter months. Spring and autumn can be as hot as the summer months but without the humidity.

Punta Prima Nightlife consists much of live entertainment and karaoke evenings.

For shopping needs there are many shops along the N332, and the Punta Prima mall. Each urbanisation also has a commercial centre such as the Via Park 3 and Via Park 5. For more shopping and activities Alicante and Torrevieja are close by. Torrevieja has a water park Aquopolis ad a beach front with promenade.
