Murcia is the smallest of all the provinces in Spain but is the home of many golf courses and fabulous golden sandy beaches. Typical of beaches on the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida are the promenades with bars, shops and restaurants as well as having sun loungers and parasols for hire. Many of the beaches have blue flag status meaning that they are amongst the cleanest and safest in Europe. Usually Murcia beaches have ample parking, a life guard on duty, usually only in the summer months, a play area for children, volleyball nets, toilets and showers.
Alemanes Beach can become very busy as it is on the Mar Menor. Facilities include two beach bars, showers, life guard and water sports. The Arenal Beach has all the amenities of the La Manga Beach and is also on the Mar Menor, and its facilities include water sports, life guard, showers and toilets. The Bano de las Mujeres Beach is located in Calnegre and is a quiet secluded cove with no services at all but can be reached by car. Barnuevo Beach is located in Santiago de la Ribera near the military base and facilities include life guard, showers, water sports and toilets. Bolnuevo Beach is located in Mazarron and facilities include life guard, showers, water sports and toilets. Bars and restaurants are close by and parking is available.
Cala del Pino Beach is located at Calabardina near Aguilas and facilities include water sports. Calarreona Beach is also located at Aguilas and the bars and restaurants offer limited services. Calas de Calnegre Beach is located near Calnegre and is a great family friendly beach with a beach, bar, life guard, shower and toilets. Ciscar beach is located at Calnegre and consist of two coves easily accessible by car but with no services. Colon Beach is located at Santiago de la Ribera and has a promenade, lifeguard, water sports and toilets. De la Colonia Beach is a family friendly beach at Aguilas whose facilities include life guard, showers and toilets. Del Arroz Beach is located at Aguilas with no facilities and access is available from a dirt track. Del Mojon Beach is located between Mazarron and La Azahia, and facilities include life guard, showers, water sports and toilets.
El Carmoli Beach is located at Los Urrutias on the Mar Menor which is a very quiet beach as it has no facilities. El Castillico Beach is located in Santiago de la Ribera near Lo Pagan has a promenade running alongside it with many services and amenities. Life guards, showers, toilets and water sports are also on hand. El Hornillo Beach is located just off the town centre of Aguilas and has a life guard, showers, water sports and toilets. El Mojon Beach is located at San Pedro del Pinatar just before you enter Alicante province. At El Mojon Beach you will find a life guard on duty, toilets and showers. El Pedruchillo Beach is located on the Mar Menor side of La Manga Sun loungers and parasols can be hired on site and parking is available too. El Pescador Beach is located at Santiago La Ribera and has a life guard, toilets, showers and water sports. There is also a sailing club right in the centre of the beach as well as some beach bars.
El Portus Beach is situated has been split into three coves one of which is used by the nudist campers and has showers, toilets and water sports on offer. El Rincon Beach is located at Bolnuevo. This is a very nice and tranquil beach with no services that can only be accessed on foot. El Vivero Beach can be found at the La Manga Del Mar Menor on the Menor side and is a quiet beach with some beach bars, toilets, showers, water sports and a life guard. Ensenada del Esparta Beach is in the quiet area of La Manga is a favourite with kite surfers and can be rough and choppy. Services include showers, toilets and water sports. Estacio Beach is located in La Manga and is a favourite for water sports enthusiasts. La Azhohia Beach is located in Mazarron with a life guard, showers, toilets and water sports. La Carolina Beach is located in Aguilas and is the first beach for tourists coming in from Almeria. Facilities include a beach bar, life guard, water sports and toilets. La Cola Beach is located at the entrance of La Calabardina and has limited facilities but does offer water sports. La Ermita beach is located at the Puerto de Mazarron and facilities include showers, toilets, a life guard and water sports.
La Higuerica Beach is situated in Aguilas is a wild isolated beach with limited facilities but does offer a life guard and water sports. La Carolina Beach is a short walk away and has all the amenities on offer. La Mota Beach is a blue flag beach and is located at Lo Pagan near San Pedro del Pinatar at the top end of the Mar Menor. Facilities include life guard and water sports and beach bars. Be sure to try the medicinal mud on hand and rinse off in the sea. La Pava Beach is located at the Puerto Mazarron and facilities are limited but there are showers and toilets. La Puntica Beach is located at Lo Pagan with a promenade and all the amenities and services. Facilities include life guard, showers and toilets. This is also a blue flag beach. La Reya beach is located in the Puerto Mazarron and has showers only. La Torre Derribada Beach is located at San Pedro de Pinatar and is a favourite with families. Facilities include life guard, showers and water sports and lost of parking. Las Delicias Beach at Aguilas offers showers, toilets a life guard and water sports for all bathers. Las Salinas Beach is located at Los Alcazares and has beach bars, restaurants, life guards, showers, toilets and water sports.
Las Tortugas Beach is located at Aguilas and is an area with coves and shallow water where tortoises are often see. This is a quiet secluded stretch of sands with no facilities. Lebeche Beach is located at La Manga on the Mar Menor. Facilities and amenities are a short walk away. Levante Beach is located at Aguilas and has a promenade, sun loungers and parasols for hire and life guards. Los Narejos Beach is located at Los Alcazares and has a promenade, life guard, showers, toilets and water sports. Matasgordas Beach is located in La Manga and has wind surfers and sailing boats for hire as well as services and amenities close by. Nares Beach is located at the Puerto Mazarron. Pedrucho Beach is located at La Manga Del Mar Menor is one of the busiest with bars and restaurants, life guard, showers, toilets and water sports. Poniente Beach is located at Aguilas and has a life guard, toilets, showers and water sports. Puerto bello Beach is located on the La Manga Del Mar Menor and has a life guard, showers, water sports and toilets. Punta Brava Beach is located at Los Urrutias on the Mar Menor and has showers, foot showers, a life guard, toilets, water sports and lots of parking. Puntas de Calnegre Beach is located in Calnegre and has a life guard, toilets, showers and water sports. Services and amenities are a short walk away. Villananitos Beach is located at the north end of Lo Pagan at San Pedro de Pinatar with a life guard showers and toilets.
Murcia beaches on the Costa Calida are some of the finest and most unspoilt that can be found in Spain. The nearest airport to Murcia and its beaches is in San Javier which is on the shores of the Mar Menor. La Manga, Aguilas, Los Urrutias, Los Alcazares and Mazarron are some of the most popular sea side resorts on the Costa Calida and the Mar Menor. There are many villas and apartments to rent with rates at their highest in the summer.
