Mil Palmeras is a small sea side resort located on the Southern Costa Blanca. Mil Palmeras literally translates to a thousand palm trees in English. To the north of Mil Palmeras lies the upmarket sea side resort of Campoamor and to the south is Torre de la Horadada. San Javier on the Mar Menor is the nearest airport belonging to Murcia is a good fifteen minutes away by car.

Mil Palmeras has those golden sandy blue flag beaches which as re so popular with families and children and is therefore very busy during the school summer holidays.

Most people coming on holiday to Mil Palmeras will rent a two to three bedroom villas with swimming pools on urbanisations such as Riomar which is less than three hundred metres away from the Mil Palmeras beach front.

Hotels in Mil Palmeras include the Palmera Beach Apartments is a three star hotel where rates start at €40 a night. There are also the Riviera Beach Apartments from €30 a night, and the Jessica Beach Apartments from €25 a night. These apartments are a good choice for spending the winter in Mil Palmeras.

Mil Palmeras is close to the three golf courses of Campoamor, Villamartin and Las Ramblas are within a ten minute drive from the resort. While further to the north of Mil Palmeras are the La Finca Golf Course, and La Marquesa. Further to the south there are the Mar Menor Golf Course, La Serena Golf Course and the Roda Golf Course.

Mil Palmeras has a good range of bars and restaurants of which the Olympia Restaurant offers good value for money dishes on their menu. J.P's, Disco Pub Vaivan offer some good Mil Palmeras nightlife. There are shops, supermarkets, bank, post office and chemist, basically all necessities are covered to enjoy a good holiday in Mil Palmeras.

Mil Palmeras weather is very hot during the summer months, with some humidity and temperatures don’t drop much below thirty degrees centigrade even at night. The month of June is as hot as August but without the tourist crowd. Winters are ideal in Mil Palmeras because they are mild in comparison to Northern Europe with just the odd shower. During September when it is still hot many property owners come to Mil Palmeras to enjoy the hot weather, Mil Palmeras gradually becomes cooler in late October. It is usually in November and December that Mil Palmeras has some rain and sometimes stormy weather. Spring weather is brought in together with the almond blossoms and can be variable, one day so hot that sun screen is necessary and on other days a good jumper and central heating are a necessity.
