Javea Webcam

Javea is one of the most popular sea side resorts on the Northern Costa Blanca in Spain. Javea is considered to be an upmarket family friendly tourist resort which is particularly busy in the summer months and school holidays when tourists flock to the resort and rent many of the villas with private swimming pools on the Costa Nova and Montgo areas of Javea. Apartments on complexes with communal pools are in abundance in the port area and close to the Arenal. Javea is neatly sandwiched between two international airports of almost equal distance to the resort. Alicante Airport is the hub on the Northern Costa Blanca and is located south of the resort, while Valencia Airport on the Costa Azahar is located to the north of the resort.

The Arenal is the focal point in Javea where one will find a first class blue flag beach with sun loungers and parasols for hire, showers, toilets, play areas for children, volley ball nets and a platform to swim out to in the summer and life guards are also on duty then. The Arenal has a kilometre long promenade where one will find a whole host of bars, pubs, restaurants, café, ice cream parlours and beach boutiques. Much of the Javea nightlife can be found at the Arenal in Javea bars such as Platinos for karaoke and Achill which is the most popular disco. Popular Javea restaurants include Los Remos, Aqua, Bon Apetit, Monsoon,Carnaval, Scallops, Castello, Café Wien, Pepes Pizzaria , the Champagne Bar and Fontana.

The port area is a pretty marina with many yachts moored there as well as fishermen coming in daily with their catch of the day. Javea beaches include La Cala, Porticholl, Granadella, Ambolo, La Cala, Tango Beach and of course the Arenal. To have a closer look at the resort there is no better way than having a look at the Javea webcam which streams out live images of the resort and the Arenal on particular and one can see people on the promenade going to the restaurants. One is able to see what a first class beach the Arenal actually is. The Javea webcam is located at the Los Remos Restaurant which incidentally also serves some of the best quality food on the Arenal.

Javea weather follows a Mediterranean climate pattern with hot humid summers and no a guarantee of no rain ideal for families and children coming to spend their summer holidays. Average temperatures range between twenty five and thirty five degrees centigrade. Some days in August temperatures can reach a staggering forty degrees centigrade. The months of September and October are still hot but without the humidity or the crowds. November and December are often still quite warm and with the odd shower and sometimes Javea will experience the cold drop or Gota Fria which is a weather phenomenon which brings with it high speed winds, torrential rain and flooding. Average winter temperatures range between fifteen and twenty degrees centigrade. Spring temperatures and weather is often variable being hot one day shorts and t shirt weather and cold the next day. Travellers visiting Javea between October and May need to pack jackets and jumpers as well as t shirts, sunscreen and sunglasses.

There is much to do and see in Javea with the nearest golf course the Javea Golf Course ten minutes away from the resort centre and the La Sella Golf Course in La Sella twenty minutes away from the resort centre. To the north of Javea is the tourist resort of Denia with ferry services to Ibiza and to the south is upmarket Moraira with its beaches and scuba diving. Benidorm the nightlife capital on the Northern Costa Blanca is an hour away by car and is also worth a visit if one wants to go on roller coaster rides of Terra Mitica, and ride the flumes at the water parks of Aqualandia and Aqua Natura.
