FC Torrevieja is a Spanish football team that is based in the sea side resort of Torrevieja on the Southern Costa Blanca. FC Torrevieja is also known as the Torry Army and was founded in 1993 and plays in the Terecero Division or third division in Group 6.

The home stadium of FC Torrevieja is the Estadio Vicente Garcia which can hold up to 8000 spectators. FC Torrevieja has consistently played in the third division for seven seasons and finished fifteenth in the 1009-2010 season. FC Torrevieja has also played five seasons in the second division.

The Director of FC Torrevieja is Jose Augustin Soto, while the coach and manager is Mario Barreda Aguilar. The Fitness Coach for the 2010/2011 season is David Cañas Melero. The Goalkeeping Coach is Juan Pedro Vera Gonzalez. The Delegado is Ramon B Ares Dominguez. The Physio is Sandor Bakos, Kitman is Alfonso Rodriguez Pino and the Delegado Ground is Francisco Manuel Gil Bernabe.

FC Torrevieja also takes part in international fixtures and has played in Bristol against the Bristol Rovers and the Memorial Stadium. FC Torrevieja does have quite a large English fan base which regularly attracts over 6000 spectators at these international competitions.

During the 2010/2011 FC Torrevieja has played against Levante B, La Nucia, Novelda CF, Torrellano Illice, Catarroja, Ribarroja, Eldenese, Crevillente Deportivo, FC Jove Español, Villajoyosa, CD Olimpic, Puzol, Villareal, Juventud Barrio Cristo, Valencia Mestalla, Burjassot CF, Mislata CF, CF Borriol, Atlentico Saguntino. Of course they have had to face their rivals twice at home and away.

The most famous of the FC Torrevieja players are Kenny Brown and Diego Meijide. Football is as popular in Spain as it is in the United Kingdom especially as the Spanish Football team is the simultaneous World Cup and European Cup holders.

The season for the 2010/2011 started on the 28th of August 2010 and the last game was played on the 15th of May 2011. The football season is designed to avoid playing in the hottest months of June, July and August where in some parts of the country the temperatures can reach a staggering forty degrees centigrade making it extremely dangerous to play football at such high temperatures and humidity.
