Campoamor

Campoamor is an upmarket sea side resort located on the Southern Costa Blanca. Campoamor is located between Cabo Roig to the north and to the south is Mil Palmeras. The San Javier Aiport of Murcia is just seventeen kilometres away, a fifteen minute transfer and Alicante Airport, the main hub on the Costa Blanca is around an hour away by car.

At the resort of Campoamor holidaymakers, expats and locals can also play golf at the Real Campoamor Golf Club which has eighteen holes. Keen golfers can also play at Las Ramblas and Villamartin close by. The hotel within the grounds of the golf course is a four star establishment by the name of the Hotel Golf Campoamor and is less than three kilometres away from the beaches of Campoamor.

The Hotel Golf Campoamor has swimming pools, Jacuzzi, and sauna. The Hotel Golf Campoamor has a state of the art fitness centre, and football, tennis, paddle and cricket. Every of the ninety three rooms at the Campoamor Golf Hotel have air conditioning, heating and satellite television as well as a sitting area either within the room or a separate sitting room. The restaurant at the Campoamor Golf Hotel has Mediterranean food and has two large terraces overlooking the golf course. Rates at the Campoamor Golf Hotel start at €90 a night.

Of course as many people have bought second homes in Campomaor there are always Campoamor villas and Campoamor apartments to rent by the week or on a long let basis.

The beach at Campoamor goes by the name of the Playa de La Glea and it has a life guard in the summer, water sports, bar and toilet. The beach is cleaned everyday and there is ample parking on the football pitch right next to the Playa de La Glea. The Campoamor marina with its yachts is also worth a visit.

On the restaurant front Campoamor is within walking distance to Cabo Roig and the Cabo Roig Strip and can experience a fine dining experience. At the La Fuente Commercial Centre is also a selection of bars, pubs and restaurants such as Bernie d’Arcy, Evolution, the Pantry and Crystals which I believe now is sadly up for auction.

Campoamor is a family friendly sea side resort and it is therefore at its busiest during the school holidays especially in the summer holidays. Campoamor isn’t much known for its nightlife and much of it takes place at the Cabo Roig Strip but there is some live entertainment locally at the Stray Sod, Bernie D’Arcys and at Evolution. Karaoke evenings, bingo evenings, dart and pool competitions as well as live acts and tribute bands will keep everyone entertained.

Campoamor weather follows a Mediterranean climate pattern meaning that the resort has guaranteed sunshine in the summer months with no rain, which makes Campamor perfect for spending summer holidays on the beach. What little rain that does fall, falls in the winter, where temperatures still easily reach the twenty degrees mark on a regular basis.

Campoamor is great holiday resort for families in the summer and a great place to get away from it all especially in the winter when long lets are available and the weather is always better than the United Kingdom.
