Barcelona Weather

Barcelona attracts many day tourists and holidaymakers looking for a city break with some very good beaches thrown in the mix. Barcelona is less than a ninety minute flight from most United Kingdom international airports and Barcelona Airport to the south of the city is less than ten minutes by the Barcelona Metro into the city centre. In fact there is no better way to get about Barcelona than by using the Barcelona Metro.

Barcelona has a lot to offer culture buffs such as the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s masterpiece and the Picasso museum, with gardens, monuments, churches, museums, fantastic shopping and of course Barcelona beaches. To see what Barcelona is all about there is no better way than seeing Barcelona from the comfort of ones own home via a Barcelona webcam from the comfort of ones own home.

Barcelona has a number of webcams including beach webcams which stream live images at regular intervals. The Barcelona ayuntimiento is placing new webcams around the city to enable one to see much more of the city and currently Barcelona has five Barcelona webcams and a few Barcelona traffic webcams. Fairly recently the Barcelona ayunitimiento placed a new Barcelona webcam in Las Ramblas with views of the Gothic Quarter.

The Las Ramblas Webcam is located in the Hotel le Meridien Barcelona and has views towards the Mediterranean Sea, the skyline towards the Gothic Quarter and the tower of the Iglesia del Pi. The Las Ramblas Webcam is updated every minute, and the current temperature and time of day are also on display. Things to do in Las Ramblas include shopping at the Paseo de Gracia, visiting the Gothic Quarter and strolling in the Port of Barcelona.

The Barcelona Traffic Webcam of tourism interest is the one placed at the Plaça Catalunya. Other Barcelona Traffic webcams of note have been placed at the intersections of the Plaça Urquinaona, and Gran Via

The Barcelona Skyline webcams include views of the Mount Tibidabo, the Olympic Port, and views of the Barcelona city centre from the north and from the south. The webcam provider also provides a Balaguer webcam, Banyoles webcam, Cerdanyola del Valles, Perpinya webcam, Sant Boi de Llobregrat webcam, Sant Carles de la Rapita webcam, Sant Feliu de Guixols webcam, Sant Joan Despui webcam, Tarragona webcam, Tarrega webcam, Vielha webcam, Tremp webcam, Girona webcam and the Lleida webcam. These webcam give the viewer an eagle eye perspective of the Costa Brava and ideas of excursions and day trips using Barcelona as a base. Sitges is also well worth a visit and a webcam has been placed there as well.

The Mercat de la Boqueria webcam has views over the Barcelona market and is updated at regular intervals. At the Mercat de la Boqueria or Boqueria Market one can shop for all things food related including the freshest fruit, vegetables, poultry, games, eggs, charcuterie, meats, specialities, dry fruit, pulses and cereals, sea food, offal, olives, preserves, fish, salted fish and ready meals. The Mercat de la Boqueria has to be seen to be believed with close to a thousand stalls. The Mercat de la Boqueria dates back to 1200.

The Barcelona webcam of the El Diagonal streams live images of Barcelona’s financial and banking district.

One of the Barcelona webcams of Barcelona beaches has been placed at Barceloneta Beach and is updated every two seconds and shows the beach from four different angles which one can switch too and the live images which are being streamed out are updated very fifteen seconds. There is another Barcelona beach webcam which has views of the Playa Nova Icaria.

Barcelona webcams also give information about Barcelona weather. Barcelona weather follows a Mediterranean climate pattern meaning that the city by the sea benefits from hot dry summer days and mild winters with the odd shower. Barcelona being a city by the sea benefits from cooling summer breezes keeping temperatures at bearable levels and also provide for days at the beach. Barcelona is popular all year round as tourists come to the city to be immersed in the culture. Barcelona is an annual average temperature of eighteen degrees Centigrade, summer temperatures seldom exceed thirty degrees Centigrade and winter temperatures typically reach fifteen degrees Centigrade. On warm winter days one can sit outdoors and enjoy the sun. Visitors to the city from October to May can pack a wardrobe for all seasons.

Barcelona is one of the most webcam rich tourist destinations on the Costa Brava and Spain, giving viewers who have never been to Barcelona an idea if they would lie to visit the city and for those that have been to Barcelona can regularly check up their favourite haunts and be transported back in time.
